My Journey with Self Improvement

Taking time for self improvement has been a struggle of mine. Fast forward to a few months ago when I took the leap and decided it was time for a change. I made the commitment to do a fitness challenge and to make healthier eating habits a part of my routine. As a mom of 3, it often feels like there is not enough time to practice self care. I am learning that taking care of myself is one of the most important things. I have been trying to pour from an empty cup for years and that was resulting in guilt. Now I am taking time to exercise, eat better and to do things that fill my cup.

Choosing Self Improvement with Exercise

I wake up every day and choose self improvement when it comes to exercise. First, I get up at 5 AM and go to Orange Theory during the week. I am so grateful that I found such an incredible family there. They uplift and encourage me to strive to be better. We rotate between treadmills, weights and rowing. I love that each day is different and it challenges me to grow. I recently took on a new fitness challenge that is helping me to dig deeper mentally, emotionally and spiritually too. For 75 days I choose to make a commitment. The commitment is to workout twice a day, eat clean, read 10 pages a day and drink a gallon of water. Every day presents a new challenge, but I am grateful for the opportunity to practice self care on a daily basis.

Self improvement with Munk Pack

Self improvement to me also means healthier eating habits and that includes my snack choices. That is why I am loving Munk Pack. Munk Pack was started by testing recipes in the kitchen and selling those products at local farmers markets. Now they sell their delicious snacks at their favorite stores all over the country. The brand is centered around the chipmunk. Chipmunks are curious, love to explore and enjoy adventure. They are highly selective eaters, with a diet of fruits, nuts, seeds, and grains. Like the chipmunk, the ingredients are high-quality real ingredients from nature. The granola bars are low sugar, gluten free and plant-based. This makes them the perfect addition to my nutritional diet.

Filling my cup is so important

It is so important for every mom to fill their own cup. We are constantly putting everyones needs above our own and that can be exhausting. I am realizing how important it is for me to fill my life with things that bring me joy. I have kids, but I am so much more than a mom. I feel like I am remembering the person I was before I became a mom. This is helping me learn to love myself more and give myself grace. Each day brings growth as I prioritize exercise, a clean diet and self care.

Until next time,

XOXO Meg
