I cannot believe that the school year has come to an end. It seems like just yesterday I was standing in front of the classroom with tears down my eyes as I let go of Kaila’s hand. She was such a big girl. She did not even cry and did not even look back at me.  She has really enjoyed learning and growing in her Bright Starts Kindergarten class and we have made it a goal to continue the learning outside of the classroom as well. So wherever we go, we talk about our surroundings. We discuss what new things we can learn about because I want her to constantly be challenged and strive for growth.

“The capacity to learn is a gift; The ability to learn is a skill; The willingness to learn is a choice.” – Brian Herbert

She is no longer a Kindergartner anymore and next year she will be in first grade. We asked her what activity she would like to do as a family in order to celebrate. She was so excited that her Nana flew in for the weekend to celebrate with us and could not wait to include her. For our MayCation we decided to go on a family hike in Tucson.

My girls are such outdoor girls! They love being in nature and talking about everything they see, so this was an easy choice for us. We got ready, drove to the mountain and braved the trail. Arie recently broke her third metatarsal so we decided that we would take turns carrying her because we did not want her to miss out on the fun experience.

We brought along the perfect drink to refresh us along our journey. Have you heard of Tampico juice? It is our summer beverage of choice! This month we are enjoying the blue raspberry and citrus punch flavors. Tampico is known for their combination of flavor and they are spreading color all over the world.

We keep moving forward. Opening new doors and doing new things, because we are curious and curiosity keeps leading us down new paths.” – Walt Disney

Tampico is an imaginatively curious juice drink. The kind of drink that is perfect for a hike. As we discovered new things and climbed to new heights the girls curiosity grew.  They wondered why people climb all the way to the top and others only go part of the way. They wondered why there are so many cacti in the desert. They wondered why there were horses going up the mountain. It is amazing how curious kids are when they are put in a new environment wouldn’t you agree?

When we got tired or needed to be refreshed we sat down together and enjoyed a cup full of Tampico. The girls could not get enough and it was the perfect drink for a hot Arizona day.

We are hoping that our fun MayCation will inspire you to create some memories of your own with your family this summer. We will be doing fun activities with Tampico all summer long so be sure to follow along to see what our next fun activity will be. Would you go on a family hike together? How do you add color to your summer?
